At a time when the demand for GPs is arguably greater than ever, it is concerning that a recent survey has found 97% of surveyed GPs have faced a complaint, often relating to waiting times for screenings/tests and treatment, as well as communication issues and online consultations.

With 77% of surveyed GPs having concerns of complaints relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is imperative that the Department of Health takes steps to protect the profession from further attrition, which would otherwise only result in more delays and complaints, perpetuating the cycle.
